A new alliance competition has arrived in the galaxy. The Mercenary Contract is a 4-day alliance event running on Weeks 2 and 5 on Monday in Interstellar Empires. Every commander receives a personalized 5-slot bounty board loaded with mission contracts that reward tactical adaptability, economic strength, and combat prowess.
The Mercenary Contract blends individual agency with alliance coordination. Every completed contract awards Mercenary Points that advance your personal milestone progression and simultaneously pool into your alliance's total score on the global leaderboard.
Bounty Board Mechanics
Your bounty board presents five active mission contracts spanning diverse empire disciplines. Here is how the system operates:
- Immediate Slot Replacement: Fulfilling a contract objective and claiming its reward immediately rolls a fresh new contract into that slot with zero downtime.
- 4-Hour Trash Cooldown: If a specific bounty does not align with your current operational plans, you can discard it. Only that individual slot goes on a 4-hour cooldown before a new contract appears.
- Three Rarity Tiers: Contracts roll as Common (100 points, 60% chance), Rare (300 points, 30% chance), or Epic (1,000 points, 10% chance). Higher rarity contracts feature larger targets and greater point yields.
- Uniform Fair Objectives: All contract target requirements are fixed and equal for all commanders, ensuring a level playing field regardless of base level.
Four Core Mission Categories
Contracts draw from a catalogue of 22 missions across four strategic gameplay domains:
Economy
Mine Astromite and Quantarite from asteroid fields, execute trade convoys at trading posts, and donate resources to advance alliance technologies.
PvE Exploration
Hunt pirate vessels across low and high tiers, complete deep portal missions, scan Unknown Objects, and rally allies against Subspace Anomalies.
PvP Warfare
Raid rival player bases to pillage unvaulted resources and inflict permanent losses on hostile player fleets in battle.
Empire Progression
Utilize building, research, and training speedup items, and recruit infantry and capital warships to expand your military strength.
Milestone Tiers & Alliance Leaderboard
As you accumulate Mercenary Points, you unlock up to 10 personal milestone reward tiers ranging from 500 to 20,000 points. Milestone rewards include valuable resource packages, speedups, Credits, Core Shards, and Catalyst Dust. Any unclaimed milestone rewards are automatically delivered to your inbox via report when the event concludes.
Simultaneously, points earned by all alliance members accumulate on the global alliance leaderboard. At the end of the 4-day competition window, all commanders belonging to the top 10 alliances receive phase-scaled rank rewards.
