Looking for an OGame Alternative?
If you enjoy long term browser strategy, fleet movement and alliance play, Interstellar Empires may feel familiar. It is not an OGame clone.
Interstellar Empires is a persistent browser strategy MMO where every commander develops a planetary base, researches technology, constructs fleets and ground armies, joins alliances and operates inside the same shared world.
What feels familiar
Interstellar Empires is built for long term progression rather than short matches. Construction, research, production, gathering and fleet travel continue while you are away. Make decisions, start your next actions and return later. Other commanders continue developing their empires in the same persistent world.
What Interstellar Empires does differently
Movement and warfare are split across two systems: the Galaxy Map for space fleets and the Portal Network for ground operations. They create different strategic choices rather than replacing each other.
Galaxy Map
The Galaxy Map is the physical shared world. Players, alliance territory, targets, fleets and strategic locations exist there. Fleet movement is visible and takes time. Fleets can scout, attack, transport ground forces and participate in space combat.
Portal Network
Ground forces can use discovered Portal addresses to reach destinations much faster than a normal fleet crossing the galaxy. Portal operations include missions, scouting, raids and attacks. Discovering and sharing useful addresses can change what your alliance can reach quickly.
Joining an established world
Earlier commanders naturally have more progress. New Commander Catch-Up Boost helps eligible players joining older worlds develop faster. It helps close part of the gap while preserving the progress existing players have earned.
Alliances and persistent warfare
Alliances coordinate rallies, reinforce each other, take part in cooperative events, compete for strategic locations and share information. Because the world continues running, every member does not need to be online at the same time.
How monetization works
Interstellar Empires is free to play. Optional purchases focus on Commander Status convenience features and cosmetics. Credits and normal resources are not sold directly for real money.
Play in your browser
Play directly in a modern browser without a separate game client.
