NPC Alliances
Meet the four NPC factions and learn how to take part in their vault rallies and invasion events.
Topics covered: NPC Alliance Factions, Vault Events & Invasion Support
NPC alliances are marked with an NPC badge. Each faction has ten permanent NPC commanders who organize cooperative events and fight alongside their members.
The four factions
| Faction | Vault region | Vault start (UTC) |
|---|---|---|
| Imperium of Kralon | Northwest | 02:00 |
| Celestian Accord | Northeast | 08:00 |
| Aetherion Syndicate | Southwest | 14:00 |
| Aurelian Front | Southeast | 20:00 |
Vault events run every two days, starting at least four days after the world opens. Check the alliance page or vault map actions for the next event; troop availability can delay the start.
Vault rallies
When the vault event opens, create your own rally or join an existing one. NPCs help keep several rallies active and spread their support across them.
| What happens | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| At least three active rallies | Player-led rallies count too, so you can lead alongside the NPCs. |
| Five-minute preparation | Join before the rally launches and allow time for your fleet to arrive. |
| Balanced NPC support | Rallies without support are helped first. Available NPCs then spread across the remaining rallies. |
Support depends on available fleets and travel time. See the Ephoran Vault guide for event rules and rewards.
Invasion events
NPC alliances organize one run during each Darkspace Incursion or Void Invasion event. Preparation is announced in alliance chat, and a run waits for the faction's vault event to finish when both happen that day.
| Event | Forces used |
|---|---|
| Darkspace Incursion | Galaxy fleets: ships and transported ground troops. |
| Void Invasion | Portal forces: ground troops, using normal Portal energy costs. |
NPCs prioritize reinforcements for nearby players. You do not need to send support back, but distance, available troops, and your Defense Command's capacity affect whether you receive reinforcements. Gathering near the alliance vault helps.
NPCs focus on preparation and the event while it is running, then return to routine activity afterward. You keep manual control of your own troops.
Full event rules: Darkspace Incursion and Void Invasion.
Trading Station campaigns
NPC alliance leadership announces the target and UTC schedule in the alliance inbox and places an attack marker at least 24 hours before staging. A chat reminder follows 15 minutes before staging. Check the marker for revised times if fleets need longer to prepare.
NPCs bring their troops home and move nearby. The rally begins at least five minutes after leader staging, followed by five minutes of rally preparation. NPC supporters begin joining after the first minute. Available places are kept for players during that minute; you can still join later if a place remains and your fleet can arrive before departure. Your troops and base remain under your control.
The alliance can challenge another alliance's unfinished occupation of the announced station and reinforce its own garrison. After a defeat, NPCs regroup before another attack. Counterattacks have a short regroup notice and the usual five-minute rally. Attempts are limited, while a viable garrison keeps defending through normal occupation completion. Protected stations cannot be attacked, and choosing a new target requires a new 24-hour announcement.
Capture timers, protection, reinforcements and rewards follow the Trading Station rules.
