Quantarite is the rarest substance in the galaxy, essential for high-end research and capital ship components. Quantarite Mining research is required to mine these asteroids; each level permits one concurrent Quantarite mining operation. Due to its volatile nature, it is found in much smaller quantities than Astromite. These asteroids lack Portal access and must be reached via the Galaxy Map using mining fleets. When 10% or less of an asteroid's original resource amount remains, it is removed and a replacement asteroid appears at a new random location.
