Galactic Observatory
Learn when Observatory scans become available, which tiers you can discover, and how scouting improves.
The Galactic Observatory is an advanced sensor array that allows you to observe other players' bases via Scouting, revealing their defenses and fleet movements. It also provides access to the Galaxy Map.
Scan Generation
The Galactic Observatory periodically generates scan items that can be collected and used to spawn celestial objects near your planet:
- Pirate Ship Scan — spawns a Pirate Ship nearby. Generated every 3 hours, up to a maximum of 8.
- Unknown Object Scan — spawns an Unknown Object nearby. Generated every 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4.
Scans accumulate over time. Select the Galactic Observatory to open its building menu, or use the Collect control on the building to collect ready scans directly. You can also collect them from the building details. Use collected scans from your inventory to choose a tier and spawn the object.
Observatory upgrades also unlock the highest scan tier you can choose: Tier 1 at level 1, Tier 2 at level 5, Tier 3 at level 11, Tier 4 at level 14, Tier 5 at level 17, Tier 6 at level 20, and Tier 7 at level 23. The building detail shows the currently available tier range.
